How do you write?

Since our younger years we learned how to write. Like writing with a fountain pen in elementary school and with a dip pen in high school (well, I got lesson in it while being in high school in art class). You were learning how to write neatly and how to write in cursive. If you did very well, the teacher gave you a chance to write with a scented coloured ballpoint pen. That was something really special if you got the coloured ballpoint pen!

I am right handed, right handed writers has more pens to write with as mainly left handed writers need pens with ink that need to dry quickly otherwise the text get all smeared out.

Now years later I don't write cursive any more, more in manuscript. I also don't write with the paper straight in front of me, but it's more in 45 of 90 degree. I love to write with gel pens or a roller ball pen. It is important to me that pens has a good grip and feels good in the hand while writing. You have all kind of pens, like:

  • ballpoint pen
  • fountain pen
  • marker
  • technical pen
  • roller ball pen

Also Filofax has a few pens, these look very pretty but I don't own any so I can't tell much about that. I hope in the nearer future I can tell you more about them!

My question for this week to you is; how do you write? How does the paper lay in front of you? How do you hold your pen? And what is your favourite pen to write with? You can comment on this blog with a picture if you like! I am curious!

I love pens and I always look for new ones to try out when I am able to. At http://www.appelboompennen.nl/ they have a discount of 10% off if you use the code FILOPEN. The code doesn't apply to pens from VISCONTI and MONT BLANC.

Best wishes,
