Overall impression
The Patent Nude has been released in the sizes Personal and A5. I got the "Patent Nude" in Personal size, this one is 135 x 188 mm and has 23 cm rings.
The Cover
The cover is made of thick leather with a patent gloss. The inside is also from thick leather with a patent gloss. On the left side from the cover, you have a pocket across the entire length of the planner, where you can put notes behind. On this flap there is a black elastic band that has 2 penloops on each end of the elastic band. Between these 2 penloops there is a place where you can put notes between or businesscards. There are also 2 cut in pockets, I think they are for business cards or maybe for more notes. On the right side of the cover there is another pocket acros the entire length as well. This Filofax somes with a small notebook that is tucked in the pocket on the right side. You can remove this and put some other things in it, but be noticed, the notebook was slid between 2 cut outs on the top and bottom so if you put notes in there it could fall out from the bottom.
The Inserts
The inserts size are 95mm x 171 mm, and contains: a dashboard/flyleaf, week on 2 pages (the academic layout, starting the week with "this week"), index set labeled from 1 to 6 in the colors blue and green, to do's, contacts, lined paper in the colors green, white, blue and pink, graph paper and blank paper. I am happy that they put the academic layout, because I like to see the highlights of that week. This is the layout I like the most.
Pro's
When you open the organiser, it stays neatly open and doesn't need any "training" to stay open. Until now I haven't "found" any fingerprints or smudges, which you were able to see on the other Patent Originals (Black, Purple and Fuchsia). If it gets dirty you can wipe it off easily.
Con's
The second penloop (the penloop near the rings), I wouldn't use that one that quick, because it will make your organiser bulky and it might make pressing marks into your inserts. I also would have loved more pockets instead of those big flaps on both sides.
My Impressions
First I was really "afraid" of The Original, mainly because it might get dirty really quickly and the leather would be too floppy for my liking. But this is not the case, in fact the leather sturdy but not too weak either and I also don't see any fingerprints or smudges on it after using it for some time. I think it's a really pretty planner and would go straight into my bag (yes, but in a protective bag, haha).
