REVIEW Personal Organiser - Limited Edition - MONOCHROME

The latest member of the Filofax Family landed on my doormat
today and I must say: I am pleasantly surprised.

First Impression: Sturdy,chic, durable and 'Tres Chanel' !

Overall Impression
The Monochrome is a Limited Edition and comes in A5 and Personal. Today we are reviewing the Personal size. The size is 19 x 13 cm / 7.4 x 5.2 inches. The closure white leather piece measures 10 cm / 3,7 inches, so a lot fits in!


The color is deep black with a white button strap and white sewing. The button reads "Filofax The Original est. 1921". The leather is sturdy and thick (0.2 inch) , the Monochrome lies flat from the moment you lay her down. I am a huge fan of the Originals leather.


The Planner outside
When you open the planner, the inside has 2 Pen loops and in between them a broad elastic black band. Not sure what to use it for, but I settled for it holding business cards, which looks awesome.
There are two credit card slots, and there is room behind the flap to hold receipts and such.

There is one pen loop on the outside which holds a fountain pen or Frixxion, so that's handy! The other pen loop is smaller and to me it looks rather useless because the planner will not close well with a pen there. So its use remains unknown. The backside at the right side of the planner also has extra room behind the flap. In the flap is a slot for a blocnote measuring 2.6 inch (6,5 cm).There are no extra slots or zippers.


The Inserts Inside there is a Dashboard/Flyleaf and green/blue dividers labeled 1 - 6. Then some To do's, Contacts, notepaper and blue/pink/green lined paper. Personal info, yearly calendars and week on 2 Pages with room for notes at start of the week and all days have the same writing space. Hurray I love it!! The paper itself is like the existing Cotton Cream Filofax paper, but still too thin I think.

GOOD POINTS compact, sturdy all-in-one-planner, week on 2 pages is great.

BAD POINTS not much room for credit cards and passes, no zipper.


Conclusion
A fine classy planner for modern women/men in business, at the office or at home.Easy to carry in purse with a sturdy and also chic look.
